Juice Cleanse on Hold Due to Weather

So very sad to report today that I couldn't even pick up the juices for the 30-day juice cleanse to start today.  After an hour and a half of my husband and I digging out the car, we didn't get the car to move due to the tires frozen to the ground.  I'm guessing tomorrow will be even worse so I can only hope by some miracle I can pick them up Tuesday.  However, on the bright side, I have the day off of work!

Day Before 30-Day Juice Cleanse

Tomorrow is the official day of the juice cleanse.  I'm ready to do this thing.  I felt so much better after the six days I just did.  Lots more energy.  Even my husband noticed it.  One thing I'm not looking forward to though is, driving to pick up the juice, which is over 30 minutes away in normal weather conditions.  Tomorrow is supposed to be icky weather conditions.  Lots more snow.

By the way, I changed this to "juice cleanse".  The reason for that was because I am cleaning my body. A fast sounds depriving, but doing something good for myself/my body is not at all depriving.

Late this afternoon, I went in for a colonic.  It feels great to give my body another boost.  In fact, I'm going again next weekend.

I also feel like I have the energy to start writing on the book I want to finish (draft) this year.  And get started on my business ideas.  Enough wishing and wanting and more doing!

Day 7: Juice Fast/Feast

Today was Day 7.  The end of a week.  I did have a few gluten-free seed crackers.  Sigh.  However, I was very cold and weak, and I have a feeling it's due to this below freezing temperature here in Chicago.  Today, I noticed how much more energy I had then a week ago when I started this and how much brighter my eyesight has been.  I'm ready to do this thing full-force, though, come Sunday when I'll be paying $400 for a month of freshly made juices.  Being that I am making such a huge investment, I don't want to waste it.  So I'm resetting my juice fast/feast back to do this thing.  I've gotten some great benefits out of the 7 days so imagine what the next month is going to bring.

Day 6: Juice Fast/Feast

Today was hard.  WHile I wasn't hungry, I seriously just wanted the taste of something.  So I broke down...just a little...and ate a bit of a granola bar and a small piece of chocolate.  But I'm not giving up!  I've gotten the taste I want and now it's back to the juice.  Nausea today.  I think that's really why I wanted a different taste.  I can tell a different in my skin.  It's softer, clearer-a bit less blotchy.  Definitely good sign that makes me want to continue.  I'm looking forward to Sunday when the juices will be made for me.  Sure, it's more expensive, but the convenience and time-saver it will be, which will give me more time for creative pursuits and to work on my writing.

Day 5: Juice Feast/Fast

I've completed Day 5 of the juice feast/fast.  Today has been difficult.  I went to the mall with my husband, as he loves to go to the mall.  Of course, he has to stop at Auntie Anne's and get a pretzel.  How I love those things!  At least he was kind enough to ask me if it was okay.  For the last two days, all I can think about is pizza and pretzels.  It's not that I feel hungry.  It's that I miss the taste and maybe there are even some good memories associated with these two things?

Headaches were almost non-existent, except for a slight headache I had earlier this morning while juicing for the day.  I didn't drive to the mall today due to the heavy snow, so we took the bus, and tromping through the snow took a lot of my energy.  I guess that tells me I need to work about a bit!  As we were taking the bus home today, I really felt tired and so when I got home, I fell asleep for two hours.

Over the last few days, I have been feeling a lot of ache in one of my teeth, that now has an implant.  No cavities ever, but I have an implant.  Boo!  I know that ever since the infection in that tooth, the scaling, two root canals, and then implant surgery, that it never quite healed up.  I'm hoping my body will heal it during the next month.
